Terms of Service — Educated Guess

These Terms govern your use of the Educated Guess mobile app and related online services. Terms of Google Play or the Apple App Store also apply to downloads, purchases, subscriptions, and store accounts.

1. Service provider

Educated Guess is provided by:

2. The service

Educated Guess is an entertainment and general-knowledge game built around short two-option trivia questions, explanations, sources, lives, streaks, sharing, optional rewarded advertising, and optional paid features.

The free service starts when you first use the app. You can stop using it at any time. If you create an account, the account service continues until you delete the account or we lawfully terminate it.

The app is intended to be offered globally where Google Play or the Apple App Store makes it available. Features, products, advertising, and store services may differ by country, platform, app version, or legal requirements.

3. Technical requirements

To use the app you need:

• a compatible Android or Apple device with a supported operating-system version;
• enough device storage for the app and its local game database; and
• internet access for initial content download, sign-in, synchronization, purchases, restoring purchases, advertisements, and external source links.

After the initial question download, core gameplay is designed to work offline. Some features remain unavailable without an internet connection.

4. Licence and intellectual property

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to install and use Educated Guess on devices you own or control, for private, non-commercial use and in accordance with applicable store rules.

The app, its design, name, logo, question bank, and other content belong to us or our licensors. You may not sell, rent, sublicense, scrape, systematically extract, republish, or commercially exploit them, except where the law expressly permits it.

5. Accounts and sign-in

You can play without an Educated Guess account. An account is optional and may be created when you select a sign-in option, including before a purchase.

Sign-in is currently offered with Google Sign-In. Sign in with Apple is planned for the iOS release. You are responsible for maintaining access to the external account used to sign in.

6. Lives and rewarded ads

The free version may limit continuous play through a lives and regeneration system. The app may offer an optional rewarded ad that restores lives or provides another displayed benefit.

Ads do not play automatically. You decide whether to choose Watch ad. To reduce waiting time, an ad may be requested or prepared in advance after any required advertising-privacy state has been resolved.

When you select Watch ad, the app attempts to show an available ad. Depending on applicable permissions and consent signals, Google may serve a personalized, non-personalized, or limited ad. An ad is not guaranteed to be available every time.

7. Unlimited and store billing

Educated Guess offers an optional paid feature called Unlimited. On both supported platforms, the intended product set is:

• a monthly auto-renewing subscription;
• a yearly auto-renewing subscription; and
• a One-time purchase.

The benefits, billing period, price, and any trial or introductory terms are displayed in the app and store checkout before purchase.

Store processing

Purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. The store collects payment and handles payment-card or payment-account details. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

We receive purchase, receipt, transaction, and entitlement information needed to activate, verify, restore, and administer Unlimited. We receive proceeds from the store after applicable store fees, taxes, refunds, and adjustments.

Subscriptions

A subscription renews automatically for the billing period shown at checkout until cancelled. You can cancel through your Google Play or Apple account before the next renewal. Cancellation stops future renewals; access normally continues until the end of the current paid period.

Refunds and billing disputes

Refund, cancellation, and billing requests are normally submitted to the store that processed the purchase. The store applies its rules and any mandatory consumer rights applicable to the transaction.

Access to Unlimited is normally made available immediately after the store confirms the purchase. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Trivia content and external sources

Questions and explanations are provided for entertainment and general education. We research and curate the content and may correct, replace, or withdraw questions.

The app is not professional medical, legal, financial, safety, or other specialist advice. Do not rely on it as a substitute for qualified advice or as the sole basis for an important decision.

Source links lead to third-party websites. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their availability, security, or content.

9. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the app unlawfully;
• interfere with, disrupt, overload, or compromise the app or its services;
• use bots, automation, exploits, or reverse engineering to cheat, extract content, bypass limits, or access non-public systems, except where the law expressly permits it;
• attempt to obtain another user’s account or data; or
• use the app or its content for unauthorized commercial purposes.

We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to respond to a material breach, fraud, abuse, security threat, or legal requirement.

10. Availability and changes

We may update the app, correct content, change features, or discontinue a feature or the service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Where a change materially affects a paid digital service, we will comply with applicable mandatory consumer law. Discontinuing a service does not remove rights that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Ending use, deleting an account, and cancelling a subscription

You can end use of the free service by stopping use and uninstalling the app.

You can delete an Educated Guess account:

• in the app through Profile → Delete account; or
• outside the app by following the deletion instructions at https://educatedguess.app/support.

Deleting the Educated Guess account does not cancel a Google Play or Apple subscription. Cancel the subscription separately through the store account that purchased it.

12. Support and complaints

For app defects, access problems, content issues, privacy requests, or other complaints, email contact@educatedguess.app.

Please describe the issue, relevant device and app version, and the outcome requested. We aim to answer complaints within 14 days. Billing and refund requests should normally be submitted to the store that processed the payment.

13. Responsibility

We are responsible for Educated Guess to the extent required by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights, including rights relating to conformity of digital content or services.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by unlawful use, unauthorized modifications, unsupported devices, failure to protect an external sign-in account, or third-party services outside our control.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections provided by the law of your country of habitual residence where those protections apply.

Disputes may be brought before courts having jurisdiction under applicable law. These Terms do not require a consumer to bring proceedings exclusively in Poland where such a restriction would be invalid.

15. Store-specific terms

Google Play and Apple terms may apply in addition to these Terms.

For an app obtained from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies unless a custom EULA is deliberately submitted in App Store Connect.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the app, stores, law, security, or business operation. We will update the date above. For a material change, we will provide appropriate notice where required.
